Targetcraft Archers Brave the Wind at Caswell Series Round 3

19 July 2026 – Wicken Archery Club

Targetcraft Archers enjoyed another successful outing at the third round of the NCAS Caswell Series, hosted by Wicken Archery Club on the picturesque Wicken Cricket Ground.

Despite warm summer weather, archers faced challenging conditions throughout the day. A constantly changing, swirling wind tested competitors’ skill and concentration, while the gently rising slope towards the targets provided a stark contrast to the downhill shooting conditions at Targetcraft’s home venue, West Lodge Rural Centre. Finding reliable sight marks proved difficult, making consistency a challenge for even the most experienced archers.

The demanding conditions did little to stop the Targetcraft team from producing an impressive medal haul.

Peter Radliffe claimed Silver medals in both the Single and Double 50+ WA50 Open Compound categories.

Scott Collins also secured Silver medals in both the Single and Double 50+ WA60 Open Longbow events.

Caroline Morrell taking Gold in the Single 50+ Female WA60 Recurve competition.

Martin Morrell completed the club’s success with Bronze medals in both the Single and Double 50+ Open WA60 Recurve categories.

Single-round medals were awarded by Wicken Archery Club, while the Double-round medals formed part of the NCAS Caswell Series standings.

With another strong performance across multiple bow styles, Targetcraft Archers once again demonstrated their ability to perform under difficult conditions. The team left Wicken with a great collection of medals, making it another rewarding day on the shooting line.
